Historical issuer-reported monthly Item 703 repurchase activity from Persistfolio's reconstructed historical S&P 500 cohort: 54,946 top-level monthly rows of the Item 703 "Issuer Purchases of Equity Securities" table in 10-K and 10-Q filings, from 781 filers (CIKs), copied without changing any value from Persistfolio's certified Historical SEC Item 703 Repurchase Evidence, Release 1 (`item703-repurchase-evidence-2025-09-30-r1`). Filings are those of the Persistfolio Historical Cohort companies while each was a member, with periods of report through 2025-09-30. Reported months run from 2002-01 to 2025-09; 168 rows fall before July 2004 because some in-scope filings list earlier months.

## Reported monthly rows, not a company-month panel

**This file contains reported monthly Item 703 rows, not a deduplicated company-month panel. The same issuer/month can appear more than once because amendments, overlapping filings, or separately reported series remain distinct. Do not automatically sum duplicate issuer/month rows.** In this release 2,411 CIK/month combinations appear more than once (5,933 rows): mostly the same month reported again in a later original filing (1,827), an amendment (347), or separate rows/series within one filing (237). Use `form_type`, `filing_date`, `accession_number` and `series_label` to choose.

Only top-level monthly rows are included: total rows and sub-rows are not, and nothing is aggregated or recomputed.

## The file

| `period_raw` | The row label exactly as printed in the table. |
| `filing_date` | Filing date (SEC EDGAR). |
| `form_type` | 10-K, 10-Q, 10-K/A or 10-Q/A. An amendment is a separate filing. |
| `accession_number` | SEC accession number of the filing. |
| `series_label` | A share class or series named by the table’s own header, when the table reports more than one; otherwise blank. |
| `total_shares_purchased_raw` | (a) Total number of shares (or units) purchased: the cell text exactly as printed by the filer - always the authority. |

### Column (d) has no single unit

`remaining_authorization_*` is a remaining share count for some filers and tables and an approximate remaining dollar amount for others; the same issuer can switch over time. **Do not sum or compare `remaining_authorization_standardized_value` across issuers or periods without first determining what column (d) measures in the source row. `remaining_authorization_raw` and its scale statement are the authority.** There is no unit field.

### program_relation (a Persistfolio interpretation, not an SEC field)

| `NO_REPORTED_PUBLIC_PROGRAM_PURCHASES` | Column (a) is a number and column (c) is 0, a dash, blank or N/A: the filer attributes none of the purchases to a publicly announced program (often shares withheld for taxes or similar). |
| `PUBLIC_PROGRAM_ROW` | Column (c) is positive and smaller than (a): the row combines program purchases with other purchases. |
| `NOT_APPLICABLE` | The row reports no purchase. |
| `UNKNOWN` | The two columns do not fit the above - most often (c) is larger than (a) (for example a cumulative program count). classification_confidence is MEDIUM. |

## What this file does not contain

- Not every SEC filer: only the Historical Cohort companies while they were members.
- No average price paid, no total rows or sub-rows, no announced-vs-executed comparison, no shares-outstanding analysis, no stock prices, no financial-statement (cash-flow) buyback totals.
- No filing ledger (filings with no released monthly rows, confirmed no-disclosure, narrative-only or REVIEW filings are not listed - a missing month does not mean zero repurchases), no withheld facts, no document hashes, no certification package.
